How to be better > What to do today? 2023-11-7
I think that “How to be better?” is a better daily question to ask ourselves than “What should I do today?”.
For years I started my mornings with an open mind, with the simple question “What should I do today?”.
I didn’t plan for that. I didn’t read it anywhere. That’s how I’m wired. I just sat on my bed and tried to answer.
“What should I do today?” is a good question. It allows you to be completely open. To rethink everything.
But it also:
Undermine past good thoughts or frameworks
So you are less likely to benefit from compound thinking
You don’t practice refining your reasoning
Enables endless scrolling
Does not place enough emphasis on who you already are
Does not place enough importance on who you want to become
“How to be better?” on the other hand
Entices you to think outside of the box, rethink what you’re doing
Keeps you focused on who you are
Keeps you focused on who you want to become
That’s it,
Have a great day.
